Eight years ago Sean Flanagan’s HGV was hit by a lorry, leaving him with a broken leg and unable to work.

Whilst in recovery he took the decision to do a foundation degree in computer technology at Runshaw Adult College and UCLan. On passing his degree in computer technology this week he said: “I was surprised at first but now I am absolutely delighted that all my hard work has paid off.”

Sean has been inspired to pursue a career in teaching and now teaches IT skills to adult students at the Runshaw campus.
