Book Corner – Looking Forward, Looking Back

Posted on 08 November 2008 by admin

People think it’s impossible to write something original nowadays, since everything’s been done before, but in many cases taking books to screen works.

“10 Things I Hate About You” is a stunning modern representation of Shakespeare’s “The Taming of The Shrew”, while the teen flick “Clueless” is drawn from Jane Austin’s classic novel Emma.

Some story formulas are timeless working over and over throughout many forms of literacy and media no matter what the era. Since they are something we never seem to tire of it might explain why people are turning their back on books.
