Women admitted to hospital after Plungington Road crash

Paramedics assist accident casulties

A road traffic accident that took place on Plungington Road has left two women injured.

The incident took place at 15:26 after witnesses saw a red Renault Clio hit the pavement and consequently smash into the Salvation Army shop, leaving two women wounded.

At 16:02 a woman was taken to the ambulance after being treated by the side of the road by two ambulance men.

UCLan student and Plungington Road resident, Terri-Ann Williams said: “I just heard a massive thud and then my room shook. Then I heard a girl start screaming.”


There are currently unconfirmed reports circulating that a UCLan female student was involved with the accident.

Sources at Preston Royal Hospital when questioned said: “We cannot confirm or give out any information.”

Police reports have said that the accident appears “More dramatic than it really is” and a building inspector has since been called out to the Salvation Army.
