Tom Hughes produced a man of the match performance as he led UCLan Men’s 1sts to a 32-3 victory over Manchester 4ths.

UCLan Ladies Hockey 1st team shook off the disappointment of last week’s draw against Lancaster to earn a convincing 9-0 victory over Manchester Metropolitan University 1sts at Belle Vue on Wednesday.

UCLan Men’s Hockey 2nd team played away at Liverpool this Wednesday, it was the biggest test of the season so far. Yet they snatched an important victory on the way to the league title.

Determined defending helped UCLan Football Ladies 1sts secure a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Hallam 1sts despite missing four first team players.

UCLan 4ths move second in their league after a hard fought victory over Bangor 2nds. The game started slowly, with the majority of the play being in midfield. The first chance fell to Bangor on 15 minutes after good work down the visitors left resulted in a deflected shot being well saved by Jonny Syraid in the UCLan goal.

 
It was back to business for UCLan’s football 1st team as they managed a slightly edgy 3-1 win against a strong Liverpool 1st team
